Mulher e violência doméstica: um estudo da comunidade Ribeirão Grande Pedro Isaias II.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the types of domestic violence suffered by the women of the Ribeirão Grande Pedro Isaias II community. The question of the research was: If the women of the Ribeirão Grande Pedro Isaias II community suffer domestic violence and what types of violence. As a general objective, I sought to identify and reflect on the domestic violence suffered by the women of the Pedro Isaias II Community. The research was qualitative and were performed with ten (10) women from the Ribeirão Grande community, Pedro Isaias II. The interviews were recorded and then transcribed. As for the analyzes of the results, they occurred from the authors who discuss the theme, such as Safiotti, Scoth. I point out that I had difficulty locating the history of the Ribeirão Grande Pedro Isaias II community. In this case to collect the data of the reality it was necessary to look for and to carry out interviews with some older residents of the community, as well as of Tocantinópolis, so that I had the history of the town. The results of the research showed that the women of the studied village suffer, varied types of violence, physical, psychological, emotional, patrimonial. They do not have access to care, because they live far from women's defense institutions. As they often do not report the perpetrators for fear of being killed, insecurity of being left without their home and for protecting their children from abandonment of the family, since they consider that they do everything to stay in the family. However, some women are already looking for, changes in their lives, separating from their companions and denouncing them. Even if it is a difficult task, it is urgent, they say.
