| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar perspectivas decoloniais presentes nos pensamentos e discursos do personagem Caliban na obra The Tempest de William Shakespeare (1611). O aporte teórico empregado com base na teoria do giro decolonial criado por Quijano (2013) e Mignolo (2006). O trabalho corresponde em uma abordagem qualitativa de cunho bibliográfico permeado pelo viés de análise literária da peça sustentada pelos estudos decoloniais. A problematização circunscreve-se nas formas de hierarquização de poder engendradas pela figura colonizadora de Próspero subjacentes ao povo da ilha. Diante das análises, identificamos que o sujeito colocado como o subalterno – nativo – pelo dominador – Próspero – não está à mercê e passividade de aceitação dos processos da colonização. Pelo contrário, o nativo representado por Caliban subverte a imperialidade quando busca formas de aprender e manipular a língua do seu opressor. |
| Abstract: | This research has as goal analyze decolonial perspectives which are presents in the thoughts and speeches Caliban's character in the play The Tempest by William Shakespeare (1611). This work corresponds to qualitative approach of a bibliographic sphere, permeated by the bias of literary analysis of the play sustained by the decolonial studies. The problematization, circumscribes in the forms of hierarchization of power meshed by the colonizing the figure of Prospero underlying the people of the island. In front of analyses, we identify that the subject posted as the sulbatern – native – by the ruler – Propero – it is not at the mercy and passivity of acceptance of the colonizations ́ processes. On the contrary the native represented by Caliban subvert the imperialism when it seeks forms of learning and manipulating the language of your oppressor. |
