O curso de história da faculdade de filosofia do Norte Goiano e a trajetória do professor Napoleão Araújo de Aquino (1985-1991)

Abstract

The present work presents as subject the History Course of the Faculty of Philosophy of the North of Goiás, installed in the municipality of Porto Nacional. It aims to know the process of implementation and development of the course in the period comprised, mainly, from 1985 to 1991. Although, it makes a withdrawal to the year of creation of the institution, in 1963. It is noticed that the study period presents a transition of the location of the municipality, from the north of Goiás to the state of Tocantins (1988). In addition, therefore, the linking of the institution went through the transition of link, initially, to the State Department of Education of Goiás and later to the Secretary of Education and Culture of the State of Tocantins and the University of Tocantins (UNITINS). The methodology of bibliographic research and oral history was used, mainly through the memory of Professor Napoleão de Araújo Aquino, who had an important contribution to the growth and development of the Faculty, and consequently of the History Course. Despite the distance between creation and implementation, it is observed that the college de Filosofia do Norte Goiano (FAFING), located in the city of Porto Nacional, has had a very significant impact on basic education, and particularly on teaching History in the central region of Brazil and north of Goiás.
