dc.description.abstract	This research aims to investigate the phenomenon of gender violence and feminicide, from the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in the State of Tocantins. For the gathering of information, research was carried out on the official data released by the Tocantins State Secretariat for Public Security, referring to the years 2019 and 2020, using information related to the number of complaints made and characterized as gender violence. For the qualitative survey, two interviews were conducted with two Social Assistance professionals who work in different services of the Women's Protection Network. The discussion of the survey of information was made from a gender perspective and aims to discuss the negative impact of the acho and misogynist culture for the maintenance of violent practices, the professional performance in the network and the importance of public policies for the prevention of violence against women. gender and femicide. dc.description.resumo	A presente pesquisa objetiva investigar o fenômeno da violência de gênero e do feminicídio, a partir do contexto da pandemia da COVID-19 no Estado do Tocantins. Para o levantamento de informações foram feitas pesquisas nos dados oficiais divulgados pela Secretaria de Segurança Pública do Estado do Tocantins, referente aos anos de 2019 e 2020, utilizando as informações relacionadas ao quantitativo de denúncias efetivadas e caracterizadas como violência de gênero. Para o levantamento qualitativo foram realizadas duas entrevistas com duas profissionais da Assistência Social que atuam em distintos serviços da Rede de Proteção às Mulheres. A discussão do levantamento de informações foi feita a partir da perspectiva de gênero e visa discutir o impacto negativo da cultura machista e misógina para a manutenção de práticas violentas, a atuação profissional na rede e a importância das políticas públicas para a prevenção contra a violência de gênero e o feminicídio. Um debate necessário diante da difícil realidade de mulheres vítimas de atos violentos e de crimes unicamente pela sua condição de ser mulher.	pt_BR
