Fatores que influenciam a adesão das mulheres ao exame citopatológico: uma revisão narrativa

Abstract

Objective: To search the factors that influence the women in the accomplishment of the cytopathological examination, which are in literature. Methodology: It is a narrative review of the literature, conducted in the Virtual Health Library, where articles were published from 2014 to 2019. Twelve articles were included that met the inclusion criteria. Results: When analyzing the articles, the information obtained met the pre-determined categorization, for this reason were grouped into: factors that negatively influence the cytopathological examination and factors that positively influence the cytopathological examination. In order to list the factors that negatively influence women's adherence to the cytopathological examination, were used 08 articles that highlight: lack of knowledge, feelings of fear and shame, institutional barriers, marital status of women, opportunistic tracking as negative influencers. Regarding factors that positively influence, 04 articles were used in this category and listed factors such as: reception of health services, presence of signs and symptoms, women's awareness, mainly. Final considerations: the factors that interfere in the accomplishment of the cytopathological examination must be seen under an extended perspective so that what is negative is worked and minimized and what is positive is improved and expanded.
