A importância do ensino da língua inglesa nas séries iniciais nas escolas públicas do município de Araguaína.

Abstract

At the study of English language teaching began in Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century. XIX. Since then many challenges have been overcome to be the official foreign language offered in the country. Among the various challenges, what stands out most is the rejection of the language by the students, in learning a new language, because the teaching of LI arrives late in the process of teaching and learning in the school life of the child. This monograph is guided by the concept of the importance of English language teaching in the initial series by (Lima, 2008) that presents theories in the teaching in the child's learning in basic education. In the same way we will approach concepts, perspectives of other authors as, Lima and Margonari (2010), Berdinand Saussure (1916), Figueira (2010), and Rocha (2010). The aim of this study was to analyze and show from the data observed with references in authors and safe sources, to prove the importance of English language teaching in the initial grades, so that it can be inserted in the public part time public schools of the municipality of Araguaína-TO. Because the same until the moment of the research was only implanted in the only full-time school of said municipality. The data were collected through a questionnaire answered by students of the William Castelo B. Martins Full Time School of the 5th year of elementary school city of Araguaína / TO. The qualitative-quantitative methodology was used to carry out this research.
