Manejo reprodutivo em vacas de corte com uso de inseminação artificial em tempo fixo

Abstract

The supervised internship program took place in the cities of south of the State of Maranhão, Brazil, and was supervised by the autonomous veterinary doctor Robson Martins Oliveira, on the field of bovine animal reproduction, principally in cattle beef. The internship started on the 19th of January 2021, and ended on the 1st of April 2021, making a total of 416 hours, under the orientation of the Prof. Dr. Ana Paula Coelho Ribeiro. This report describes the activities watched and performed by the intern, developed in several rural farms in the region, including: physical and gynecological examinations on heifers, estrus synchronization protocols with three managements, fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) and gestational diagnosis of cows after thirty days the first FTAI for performing resynchronization precocious. Furthermore, a topic of interest is reported on reproductive management in beef cows usingo FTAI.
