| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | Esta monografia é uma investigação sobre o analfabetismo no Brasil atual, no Embiral Imperatriz - Maranhão e tem como objetivo entendermos quantas pessoas analfabetas existem no Brasil atual, quais os motivos que levaram essas pessoas a não serem alfabetizadas e porque até hoje permanecem nas mesmas circunstâncias. Vamos tentar compreender porque o índice de analfabetismo hoje é tão grande, já que temos escolas em todos os lugares, também nas zonas rurais. Falaremos, ainda, sobre a evasão e as suas causas. Nosso local de estudo foi o povoado Embiral, parte do município de Imperatriz – MA, onde existem 19 pessoas analfabetas até hoje. Essa pesquisa baseou-se em bibliografia, artigos de revistas científicas, reportagens de jornais, dados de entidades governamentais, entre outros materiais, sendo uma pesquisa documental e de caráter qualitativo. Segundo o IBGE, são 11,8 milhões de pessoas não alfabetizadas no Brasil. Este número de analfabetos só confirma que a fragilidades dessas pessoas são enormes. Os resultados deste trabalho mostram que os analfabetos estão à margem da sociedade, deixadas de lado por um governo que não os valorizam, pois a raiz do analfabetismo é histórica. |
| Abstract: | This monograph is an investigation into illiteracy in Brazil today and it aims to understand how many illiterate people there are in Brazil today, Embiral Imperatriz – Maranhão. Why they are illiterate and why they still remain in the same circumstances. Let us try to understand why the illiteracy rate is so high today, as we have schools everywhere, also in rural areas. We will also talk about dropout and its causes. Our place of study was the village Embiral, part of the municipality of Imperatriz - MA, where there are several illiterate people to this day. This research was based on bibliography, scientific journal articles, newspaper reports, data from government entities, among other materials, it being a documentary and qualitative research. According to IBGE, there are 11.8 million non-literate people in Brazil. This number of illiterate people only confirms that their weaknesses are enormous. The results of this work show that illiterates are on the fringes of society, set aside by a government that does not value them, because the root of illiteracy is historical. |
