As possíveis relações entre “um corpo negro”, de Lubi Prates e o projeto “negra flor de girassol”.

Abstract

This paper proposes to discuss the possible relationships between the poetic work “Um corpo negro” (2019), by Lubi Prates and the project “Negra flor de sunflower” (started in 2016 and continues until the present moment), developed in a school in the network. public education system in the city of Araguaína – TO. Methodologically, it is a qualitative, bibliographic and documentary study. As theoretical foundation, the following authors and one author were selected: Ribeiro (2017, 2019), to address the concept of place of speech and that of black feminism; Berth (2019), to trigger the concept of empowerment, Gomes (2017), to discuss the Black Educator Movement; Kilomba (2019), to define everyday racism and; Cuti (2010) with the definition of black-Brazilian literature. Based on theoretical approaches, this study calls for a reflection on possible paths in the fight against racism, which occur in different social spaces, to think about the place of speech of black women and to understand the relevance of black-Brazilian literature, in particular, the poetry. As some results, we point out that the Project “Negra flor de sunflower” and the book “Um corpo negro” by Lubi Prates are connected in the struggle for the existence of the black woman's body, as an enunciator of their experiences and the strengthening of the ethnic-racial identity.
