Planejamento turístico: um estudo sobre o conselho municipal de turismo em Araguaína-TO.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyze how the municipal tourism council can assist in the orderly development of tourist activity in the municipality of Araguaína-TO. As specific objectives, it is sought: a) To identify the activities already carried out in the municipality of Araguaína-TO through the municipal public managers; b) Check the structuring of the municipal council of tourism of the municipality - COMTUR. In the theoretical framework, the planning of tourism areas is discussed, following the precepts proposed by the regional governance body, which presents as a premise, the development in a cooperative way, solving debates and proposing solutions for local development. The methodology of this article is classified as an exploratory and descriptive research, of a qualitative nature, using as data collection, bibliographical and documentary research on the subject, as well as a semi - structured interview with the public manager researched. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that current municipal management and civil society have shown a participative interest in the tourism sector, corroborating the reactivation of COMTUR, but the actions and meetings must be constant and participative in order to achieve the desired results. achieved.
