Educação ambiental: uma proposta para redução dos impactos ambientais no turismo.

Abstract

The present study presents as a research problem: How can environmental education contribute to the reduction of environmental impacts in the development of local tourist activity? As specific objectives, this work intends: a) To identify the environmental practices already developed in the municipality of Araguaína; b) Propose an environmental education primer as an academic proposal for the municipal schools. The methodology of this work presents the descriptive and exploratory nature of the scientific research, contemplating the qualitative approach of the data, through the research. As an instrument of data analysis, the research uses the content analysis, pointed out by Bardin, considering the plurality of variables analyzed. From the data collection and the results obtained, it is concluded that, the municipal environmental practices still require more directed actions and with greater planning, involving besides the environmental managers, the local community and the visitors.
