Comportamento climático de araguaína (to) por meio de dados de pluviosidade e temperatura

Abstract

This study aimed, through data, to investigate if there was an increase or decrease in temperature and precipitation in Araguaína over a period of thirty four years, emphasizing the difference between climate and weather. Local people are known to use empirical knowledge to differentiate climate and weather, winter and summer; such knowledge being different from scientific knowledge, the latter is more directed to schools and universities. Methodologically, a data collection was carried out at the climatological station (EMVZ), later represented through graphs and tables, in which monthly and annual averages of temperature and precipitation were used, as well as monthly minimum and maximum. The theoretical basis is composed by authors such as: Ayoade (2011), Edmon Nimer (1989), Mendonça and Danni-Oliveira (2007), among others. Through this work, we can understand, by reading graphs and analyzing the tables, the climate trajectory of Araguaina, climate variations and the main circulation systems responsible for regional climate dynamics, vegetation, as well as the colder months. and the hottest and the duration of winter and summer.
