Análise de desempenho reprodutivo de um rebanho bovino submetido a IATF

Abstract

This report seeks to describe the activities carried out during the mandatory supervised curricular internship in Veterinary Medicine, which was carried out at the Nucleus of Research and Extension Studies in Animal Genetics and Improvement (NAPGEM), in partnership with the company Portal do Campo Ltda and ABC de Godoy Ltda, which operates mainly in the micro-region of Araguaína, South of Pará and Southwest of the state of Maranhão, with main activity in the area of animal reproduction and bovine biotechnologies. The internship was developed during the period from August 15 to October 27, 2022, totaling a workload of 390 hours, supervised by the veterinarian Prof. Dr. Jorge and guidance from Prof. Dr. Fabiana Cordeiro Rosa. During the internship period, several activities related to reproduction and biotechnology were developed, such as artificial insemination (AI), fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI), pregnancy diagnosis via rectal palpation and through ultrasound, gynecological evaluations, induction of female puberty , evaluation and classification of matrices, zootechnical and reproductive control of herds, as well as other practices related to the company's activity. This report aims to describe in more detail the activities that allowed the intern to monitor and assist more often during the internship period.
