Psicultura e sustentabilidade econômica/ambiental no município de Brejo Grande do Araguaia(PA).

Abstract

Pisciculture is an activity that is growing a lot in the Brazilian market, it can be understood as an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable activity. As an alternative to improve water resources and decrease of the extinction of some native species of fish, notably in the North of the country, which has been worsening with excessive agricultural, industrial and mining exploitation, by the way, is increasingly degrading the environment. The data obtained through field surveys made it possible to know in fact, how is the water springs of fish farming areas, of the municipality of Brejo Grande do Araguaia being placed and treated. Based on three Pisciculture farms surveyed, data can be obtained that none of the activities be as favorable to the environmental, economic and social sustainability for the population from Brejo Grande do Araguaia, however, also being harmful to the own production.
