O lugar da extensão universitária no curso de pedagogia de Tocantinópolis - TO em seus trinta anos

Abstract

The Pedagogy course in Tocantinópolis – TO completed thirty years in 2021 and, considering the fact that the University Extension is part of this trajectory, it’s important to talk about it and its relevance for the aforesaid course. Consequently, the main objective of this work is to investigate the presence of University Extension in the undergraduate course in Pedagogy of the Federal University of North Tocantins, Tocantinópolis campus, over the total of three decades the course has. In order to do so, the methodology used was the qualitative research, through a document analysis in the databases of the University system, as well as in works that address the subject, such as: Freire (1977), Gadotti (2017), Sá (2021) and Lisboa Filho (2022). Through the analysis of documents, it was possible to identify the strong presence of the extension projects over the years and their influence on the trajectory of the course and the community in the municipality of Tocantinópolis and region. As well as, envision the changes that both the Pedagogy course and the concept of University Extension have undergone over the years.
