Abstract

This study aims to understand the Professional Education in the country from the political, economic and social context of the late twentieth century and to present what are the institutions that offer the technical level courses and what are these in the city of Araguaína, Tocantins State. Thus, it was necessary to understand about the Laws and Decrees governing this education in the country, relating to the globalized, technological and social scene that began to unleash in Brazil since the 1980s, as well as with the new needs that the labor market now requires of the workers from these years on. Since the technology began to be introduced massively in the labor and / or production process, causing workers to dominate new techniques for the development of their activities, as well as exchanging workers by technology in the workplace. To support theoretically and scientifically the development and analysis of this study, we used authors to research and discuss the theme, such as: Antunes (2003), Almeida (2012), Duarte (2003), Frigotto (1995, 2008), Ianni (2000), among others.
