Reflexões sobre a práxis do Assistente Social no Depoimento Especial

Abstract

The present dissertation proposes to present reflections on the practice of the Social Worker in the methodology of special testimony. The purpose of the research is to analyze the special testimony and the dilemmas in the fabric of ethics regarding the practice of the Social Worker. In this opportunity, the following specific objectives are presented: To know how the work of the Social Worker has been constituting with the taking of special testimony in the judiciary power and to analyze how Social Work is applied in the ND, from the performance of the Social Workers, relating this praxis with the 1993 Code of Ethics of the aforementioned profession, as well as with the philosophy of praxis. We start from a qualitative approach anchored in a theoretical and methodological perspective based on historical and dialectical materialism. As a research technique, we resorted to bibliographic and documental analysis. The results obtained indicated that the special testimony is being disseminated by several courts around the country and has become one of the main fields of action of the Social Worker. It is concluded that this new form of judicial listening and the dissemination of special deposition rooms throughout Brazil, signals that the professional category of Social Workers, as well as our Code of Ethics, needs to seek actions based on respect for rights and dignity of the juvenile public and the need to broaden questions about what is the praxis of these professionals in the justice system today.
