Abstract

This report aims to describe the activities carried out during the period of supervised traineeship at the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal Fluminense University (HUVET UFF), held from August 13, 2018 to October 26, 2018, totaling 467 hours under supervision of Prof. Dr. Maria de Lourdes, and Ceci Ribeiro Veterinary Medicine, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Priscilla Macedo de Souza, on the surgical and anesthesiology areas. During the internship the student followed the routine of the hospital always supervised by a responsible veterinarian, resident or collaborator, being possible to assist on the routine visits, outpatient visits, collection of exams materials, chemotherapies and surgical procedures, from preoperative to postoperative until their respective medical discharge. This work describes the activities developed during the internship period and reports a case of laser rhinoplasty in a brachycephalic dog treated at HUVET-UFF.
