| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | O estágio curricular supervisionado foi realizado no Hospital Veterinário São Francisco de Assis (HVSFA), Goiânia, Goiás, na área de Clínica Médica e Clínica Cirúrgica de Pequenos Animais, com início em vinte e sete de agosto e término em nove de novembro de dois mil e dezoito, totalizando trezentos e noventa horas, sob supervisão do Médico Veterinário Thiago Augusto Lourenço e orientação da Prof.ª Dr.ª Thássia Silva Reis. Este relatório descreve todas as atividades desenvolvidas no HVSFA e relata um caso sugestivo de Doença Renal Crônica (DRC) acompanhado na área de Clínica Médica de Pequenos Animais, possuindo diversas causas, cuja evolução depende da qualidade do tratamento e do acompanhamento da doença. O caso foi acompanhado integralmente durante o estágio, onde o animal foi submetido a tratamento de suporte e terapia medicamentosa, com óbito do paciente. Mostrando a importância do diagnóstico precoce da doença para buscar e estabelecer uma melhoria na qualidade de vida do paciente. |
| Abstract: | The curricular supervised internship takes place at the São Francisco of Assis Veterinary Hospital, Goiânia, Goiás, in the area of Small animal clinical medicine and clinical surgery, beginning August 27th and ending November 9th of 2018, totaling 390 hours. The internship was performed under the supervision of veterinarian Thiago Augusto Lourenço and guided by professor Thássia Silva Reis. This report describes all of the activities developed in HVSFA and describes a suggestive case of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) admitted to the Small Animal Clinical Medicine department, possessing diverse causes, whose disease evolution depended on the quality of treatment and the accompaniment of the illness. The case admitted was an integral part of the internship, when the animal was submitted for support treatment and medicinal therapy, with the death of the patient as the final result. This case demonstrates the importance of early diagnosis of illness to look for and establish a better quality of life for the patient. |
