Diagnóstico de Leptospirose pelo Teste de Aglutinação Microscópica (MAT) em Animais.

Abstract

The activities intrisic to the curricular internship supervised were developed in laboratory of infectious diseases at the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU-Ladoc), Department of veterinary medicine of the Universidade Federal Uberlândia, under supervision of profª. Dr Anna Monteiro Correia Lima, during the period from April 08 to June 18 for a total of 400 hours. In the lab were accompanied all activities, which included washing, sterilization and organization of laboratory materials and equipment, accomplishment and interpretation of culture of micro-organisms, antimicrobials susceptibility test (TSA), and quick imunocromatográficos trials. Accomplishment and interpretation of tests for lesptospira especially the Microscopic Agglutination Test (MAT), being leptospirosis an infectious disease that affects animals and humans in zoonotic character, will be the focus of the work. During the internship was carried out 62 MAT, were 26 tested bovine, being seven animals reagents for the Hardjoprajitino serovars and Wolffi serovars, 22 dogs, being four animals reagents for the Bratislava Icterohaemorrhagiae serovars, and 14 sheep, all negative. The intership curricular was of utmost importance, because it allowed the insertion of laboratory practice in everyday professional life so necessary for a good training of graduating, since it is the exclusive responsibility of the Veterinarian execution the techniques of diagnostics that allow to contribute to the promotion of human and animal health.
