metadata.dc.description.resumo:	O presente artigo tem por objetivo compreender os principais eventos que ocorreram na educação bilíngue para surdos na atualidade, e comparar os impactos da Lei no 14.191/2021 na Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional. Foi a partir de sua promulgação que muita coisa aconteceu nesse sentido. Tendo como um marco importante a implantação da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional, em vigor até os dias atuais, bem como a determinação da educação inclusiva. Outro importante marco para a educação de surdos no Brasil foi o reconhecimento da Língua Brasileira de Sinais (Libras) pela Lei no 10.436 de 24 de abril de 2002, como Língua Oficial da comunidade surda. Também o Decreto no 5.626 de 22 de dezembro de 2005, que regulamenta a Lei de Libras e abre caminhos para a educação bilíngue, principal reivindicação da comunidade surda. Portanto, acredita-se ser de suma importância a realização de novos estudos sobre esse assunto tão importante para os surdos brasileiros.
Abstract:	This article aims tounderstand the main events that occurred in bilingual education for the deaf today, and compare the impacts of Law no 14.191/2021 on the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education. It was after its enactment that a lot of things happened in this regard. Having as an important milestone the implementation of the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education, in force until the present day, as well as the determination of inclusive education. Another important milestone for the education of the deaf in Brazil was the recognition of the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) by Law No. 10,436 of April 24, 2002, as the Official Language of the deaf community. Also Decree No. 5626 of December 22, 2005, which regulates the Libras Law and opens the way for bilingual education, the main claim of the deaf community. Therefore, it is believed to be extremely important to carry out further studies on this subject, which is so important for Brazilian deaf people.
