Etnomatemática na produção de tijolos na cerâmica de colinas do tocantins.

Abstract

This research was developed from a study on the production of bricks from the perspective of Ethnomathematics, in the sense of knowing and understanding the actions of potters in ceramics from Colinas do Tocantins. From this context, investigate and describe the existing knowledge and practices in the production of bricks. Texts were read and we sought authors who discuss and discuss Ethnomathematics, such as D'Ambrioso, its founder, in order to give scientific quality to the work within the theme. In addition, we use the qualitative approach of the ethnographic type to know and understand the production of bricks that takes place in a pottery in the city of Colinas do Tocantins, with the participation of those responsible for the place and the workers who produce the material. At the place where the research was carried out, an interview, observations, photos were carried out and conversations were also held with the workers to collect information. It is noticed through the investigation that the production of bricks mobilizes an informal Mathematics that can be related to the academic Mathematics, as the content of volume and proportion that were used during the production by the workers.
