Saberes populares presentes na tradição da sussa na comunidade kalunga vão de almas

Abstract

This research aims to investigate and describe the traditional knowledge present in the cultural manifestation called sussa. This is present in the celebrations and religious rites of the Kalunga. The context of the work is the Kalunga Community of Vá de Almas - GO. The interest in the research arose from the concern of the researcher, who is a member of the investigated community, in order to reflect on this tradition as an element of quilombola identity and the role of new generations in the preservation and enhancement of local culture. The research methodology is based on ethnography, using observation, field research and conducting interviews with community members. The qualitative approach also has a bibliographical survey based on authors who have dedicated themselves to the subject in question. The research leads us to reflect on the testimony of popular knowledge present in the quilombola tradition and its role in strengthening the cultural identity of the Historic Site and Cultural Heritage Kalunga through the rescue, registration and appreciation in all aspects of social life.
