Educação intergeracional na Amazônia: os velhos da Universidade da Maturidade e as crianças do Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil João e Maria

Abstract

The work is linked to the Graduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Tocantins (PPGE/UFT), in the State, Society and Educational Practices line. The research aimed to describe and understand the Intergenerational Education between children and the elderly, which takes place in the Legal Amazon, along with the educational spaces of the University of Maturity, the Federal University of Tocantins (UMA/UFT) and the Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education João e Maria (CMEI João e Maria). For this, an analysis of written documents, reports, historical records and other primary sources of information that were relevant to the subject under study was carried out; with methodology based on the authors Marconi and Lakatos (2003), Gil (2008), Trivinos (1987) and Minayo (2008), in addition to content analysis that followed the steps of Bardin (2011): pre-analysis, material exploration, coding, record units, context units, enumeration, categorization, treatment of results obtained and interpretation by inference. The bibliographic review approached the authors: Zabalza (1998); Côrrea (2006); Barbosa (2009); De Oliveira (2014, 2017, 2020); Horn (2004, 2017); Kishimoto (1999); Silva and Rossetti-Ferreira (2000); Boff (1999, 2012); Merleau-Ponty (2018); Morin (2000); Vygotsky (2000); Freire (2014, 2018); Gadotti (2014, 2018); Villas-Boas (2016); Beauvoir (1990); Ferrigno (2005, 2015) and Osório (2022). The research revealed the contribution of the PPGE/UFT with international and national entities that seek to understand the pedagogical processes that involve Intergenerational Education in the Legal Amazon; the contribution of UMA/UFT in educational practices that improve the lives of elderly people and the communities where they live; the materialization of political-pedagogical proposals at the Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil João e Maria (CMEI João e Maria) that become effective in a curriculum of Early Childhood Education that is alive and articulated with the interests of men and women who have aged. It was concluded that the dialogue between a University and a Municipal Education System is a promising way to achieve intergenerational pedagogical practices that promote, on the one hand, the development of young children and, on the other hand, allow Amazonian men and women to achieve active and healthy aging. worthy. It emphasizes the need to continue studies on the subject with descriptions and understandings that include interviews and testimonies of people who experienced and collaborated with the analyzed intergenerational educational practices. And it is considered a useful work for reflections in the multidimensional context that encompasses society, the State and the curriculum, in activities that offer children moments of interaction and play, at the same time that they reach the subjectivity of the elderly in processes of Education throughout life .
