PIBID e interculturalidade: reflexões a partir de troca de cartas entre alunos indígenas e não indígenas.

Abstract

The present work analyzes an educational experience resulting from Institutional Scholarship Initiative Program (PIBID), linked to indigenous education through the Exchange of Letters project, which developed an intercultural proposal between indigenous and non-indigenous students. In the face of the growing debate about the importance of interculturalism and intercultural education, the general objective of this research is to understand what it means the students of Basic Education attribute to the experiences lived in the project Exchange of Letters. The research is based on principles of participatory research and makes use of methodological resources such as participant observation, the analysis of the letters that were written by the students throughout the development of the project and also from a conversation wheel with students participating in the Project Exchange of Letters. The analysis of the data showed that the lived experience gave the participants an amplification in the understanding of the other, breaking with stereotypes and prejudices and allowing the respectful approach with the different.
