| Resumo: | O presente estudo objetivou analisar o impacto da educação em saúde no contexto do aleitamento materno em publicações científicas. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura a qual buscou publicações de artigos científicos na bases de dados da Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), na Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF) e Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO). A pesquisa foi conduzida pela questão norteadora: Quais os impactos da educação em saúde na pratica do aleitamento materno? Os resultados trazem 9 artigos os quais atenderam os critérios de inclusão, trazendo as evidentes contribuições da educação em saúde para o processo do aleitamento materno. Observou-se notória contribuição para a redução dos mitos existentes e da insegurança das mulheres em amamentar. O compartilhamento de experiências, discussões e reflexões que as atividades educativas trazem, possibilitaram um pensar crítico com escolhas conscientes para o processo da amamentação. Outro impacto evidenciado foi a questão da prática educativa desenvolvida pela rede de apoio da mulher que a partir de saberes de outras mulheres possibilitam o incentivo ao aleitamento materno. |
| Abstract: | This study aimed to analyze the impact of health education in the context of breastfeeding in scientific publications. This is an integrative literature review that searched for publications of scientific articles in the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF) and Scientific Electronic Library Online ( SCIELO). The research was conducted by the guiding question: What are the impacts of health education on breastfeeding practice? The results bring 9 articles that met the inclusion criteria, bringing the evident contributions of health education to the process of breastfeeding. There was a notable contribution to reducing the existing myths and insecurity of women in breastfeeding. The sharing of experiences, discussions and reflections that educational activities bring, enabled critical thinking with conscious choices for the breastfeeding process. Other impacts evidenced was the issue of educational practice developed by the women's support network that, based on the knowledge of other women, enables the encouragement of breastfeeding. |
