Análise sobre a percepção dos residentes de aurora do tocantins/to quanto a prática do turismo local

Abstract

The present research aims to analyze the perception of the residents of Aurora do Tocantins regarding the practice of tourism in the place, starting from the identification of tourist activities currently in existence, the impacts of tourism in the place, the dynamics of the city before tourism and data collection on the opinion of the residents regarding the activity. Not intending to elaborate public policies, but aiming to provide useful information for the understanding and administration of the real problems pointed out by the local actors. As methodology was used empirical observation, interviews and questionnaires. It was possible to achieve all the objectives proposed here. It is concluded that the municipality does not have tourism as the main source of income and they are not yet structured to receive a large influx of people, as there is only one means of active lodging in the urban center. It was also observed that, there are no public tourism policies, which involve the residents, although they understand their roles in fostering the activity.
