Serviço Social e política de assistência social: a materialização do projeto ético político do Serviço Social na Secretaria do Trabalho e da Assistência Social de Palmas- TO

Abstract

This research is the result of Course Completion Work carried out by the Secretariat of Labour and Social Welfare (SETAS) of Palmas-TO, with the main objective to know as the Political Ethics Project Social Service materializes in professional practice of social worker at the Registry in the first half of 2016. in the specific goals, we tried to see how the professional activities of the social worker in SETAS is characterized in relation to the three dimensions (PULO NETTO, 1999) which make up the Ethical- Political Project Social Work; understand how political ethical aspects of this project are perceived by professionals SETAS and know what is the importance attributed to the Professional Project Secretariat. For the research we used the qualitative approach and semi-structured interviews with social workers was the main procedure to collect the data. Through research it is explored aspects of the Ethical-Political Project of Social Work in the SETAS and realized that it is embodied in professional practice in the Secretariat, through engagement, ongoing training, solid professional knowledge and critical and defense of Professional Project this Secretariat. Moreover, the three dimensions of Professional Project could be identified as intrinsic dimensions of the professional do, checking that there is commitment of respondents to the values and principles of this project. However, there are institutional and structural limitations at the Registry, such as political interference do professional; turnover commissioned positions and reliable; the modest wages of labor as a social worker; problems of physical and material structure.
