Abstract

This Course Conclusion Work is the result of concerns arising from the insertion of the researcher in the study group GEPPSFAM, when during the production of data for the research of the group that analyzes social protection at the state level, aroused the interest in deepening the theme and understand the dynamics of social policy in Thi city. The study has as its guiding principle to analyze the social (dis) protection of families in Miracemense and the provision of services of social assistance policy in the municipality. In the plot of this writing, we understand that the concept of social protection or (de) protection is not limited to the policy presented here, since assistance is one of the pillars of social security and not the only one. Therefore, the study brings a theoretical approach about the Assistance Policy, the concept and family configuration, since we start from the understanding that there is no single form of family and that there are different ways of living with the family. To this end, qualitative research was used through data analysis subsidized by checking graphs and tables as well as bibliographies that supported the entire research. The study directed the analysis to the social protection devices CRAS and CREAS, aiming to understand how the intervention of these institutions in families occurs. We understand that the reality of the Assistance Policy is permeated with challenges, and that these challenges end up being reflected in the care provided to the subject. Thus, seeking to overcome these obstacles, the proposed study brings a relevant contribution, with data that can give materiality to future interventions.
