Abstract

Since culture is an important tool for the promotion of knowledge and information, capable of inserting an entire population into the legal city through the development of its critical thinking and strengthening of its identity and highlighting the need and importance of community facilities accessible to all , this work aims to analyze how the planning and implementation of cultural facilities in urban spaces takes place and their relationships with the surroundings, population and region, and to conceive, at a preliminary level, the creation of a cultural centre in the region of Palmas Sul. In order to analyze the best place for the implementation of community equipment in Palmas, several studies were carried out using the mapping and analysis platform, known as GIS - Geographical Information System, aiming at the location of an efficient and consistent equipment. half inserted.
