Porto Nacional: uma abordagem sobre a rua das flores

Abstract

This article intends to research about street of the city of Porto National, populary known as Flower Street, showing its historical aspects, since its formation until the presente day. It is also intended to understand the importance and significance of this street for thrbproplr who live in it, and carry with them stories that are quite important, which when studied will expand the possibilities of understanding the urban history of Porto National. The methodology used was semi-structured interviews with six (5) residents of the street under study, starting from na investigation in the qualitative perspective, where we will reflect on the cultural and social aspects of the residents and what is the meaning of the street for them. Having as theoretical support the research will use the studies of Raquel Rolnik (1995), Francisco Azevedo (1910) and Paul Thompson (1992) among others.
