Abstract

The article aims to describe the teaching practices carried out by the PIBID team of Portuguese Literature at the Federal University of Tocantins-UFT and demonstrate the challenges contained in the experience of teaching practice in a public school in the city of Porto Nacional. The report is based on the National Curriculum Parameters in the Portuguese language discipline, highlighting the importance of the diversity of textual genres in teaching; therefore, the choice of the project is focused on working on the theme through the chronicles, memory and news applied in the series. 6th, 8th and 9th of elementary school. Challenges were presented within the classroom and for access to technological resources, which would assist in the production of materials. Finally, there was a reflection on the experience in the classroom, and how the challenges provide an ethical and professional growth to the graduates participating in PIBID of Portuguese Language.
