Abstract

This work aims to present a set of reflections about teacher training in the former Northern Goiás, using a structured interview with teacher Itamar Araújo Morais, since it was part of the context of the time to which the first college in the region began and through its history of formation that began in the old north of Goiás from pre-school to his initial training as a teacher, and traversing several paths in search of better, conditions and training, despite having faced the difficulties of beginning the formation at the time, he did not give up eventually migrating to another state to try to complete the higher education. The research deals with the history of the first college implanted in Araguaína Tocantins tells a little of the physical structure of the school of how was the operation and the obstacles and shortages by the lack rooms that many teachers faced so that today we can enjoy better conditions, although we know that still we believe that education still does not meet as we really want quality.
