A psicologia hospitalar na urgência e emergência: um estudo de revisão

Abstract

The following work aimed to investigate the specificities of the performance of the psychology hospital professional in the context of Urgency and Emergency. In this sense, the present study is characterized as a narrative literature review, in which an exploratory approach was used, with a bibliographic survey for the construction of knowledge. Still with a methodological apparatus, to answer the guiding question of the research “What are the specifics of the work of the hospital psychology professional in urgency and emergency?” the following databases were accessed: SciELO-library - Scientific Electronic Library Online, PEPSIC - Electronic Journals in Psychology and CAPES journals. The search and construction process of the work took place through the descriptors: "Psychology “AND” Urgency “AND” Emergency” and; “Psychology “AND” Emergency Room”, without temporal delimitation. The following categories of analysis: The characterization of the emergency room; Support and attention to family members; Psychosomatics; and View of the team in the face of mental health demands in the emergency room. Among the considerations, the importance of the psychology professional in the emergency room as an instrument of humanization of the sector, and, with regard to scientific productions on the subject, it is necessary to intensify them, given that little has been produced on.
