Ensino de Língua Inglesa: a Música como Recurso Didático Tematizado no Relatório de Estágio

Abstract

Within the indisciplined field of Applied Linguistics, in this final undergraduate paper we aim to investigate how the music, used as didatic resources by teachers in an initial training in supervised internship activities, registered in the Supervisioned Internship Reports, contributes to the teaching of the English language. The bakhtinian dialogic perspective was the main theoretical contribution of this work. The used methodology was a qualitative and documentary research, assumed to characterize the treatment given to RES, documents surveyed. The research results show that, music is a great ally of teachers in view of the purpose of teaching English Language, since, it being an element that is part of the life and communication process of the human being, it broadens the affective bonds of students with the language and assists the students in the pronunciation of terms in English and in the acquisition of new vocabularies.
